Will Personal Training Work For Me?

I’ve been a full time personal trainer since 2009, predominantly specialising in training clients in their own homes.
I have trained clients from the age of 15, up to 78, with the majority of my clients in the 40-65 age range.
All have slightly different goals, and all have a different reason behind wanting to achieve that goal, eg improved self confidence, or to feel more attractive.
The one thing they all have in common is a desire to get a result, and they invested trust in me to help them get it.
My personal training approach worked for every client that was truly committed to getting the desired end result. Click here to find out more about what I offer.
For a moment I want you just to think about why you want a personal trainer? What result are you after (eg weight loss, firm/tone up)? Now, why do you want that? What will having that do for you?
This is even more powerful if you write it out.
Why do I ask you to do this?
The simple truth is once you connect to that deeper reason behind why you’re doing it you will adhere to our work together more consistently, you will keep pushing on when motivation dips, because it does (peaks and troughs), and you will get back on track faster after a blip.
Obviously I will help you identify habits that are causing you to be where you are vs the habits that need to be added in order to get the result. We look at your eating habits, stress management, mindset, sleep habits, and movement habits. There are many sides to your makeup, and they all need to be in unison.
What I will add is that if you’re reading this article then you are a lot closer to getting your result than someone who still thinks they can “go it alone”, what you need now is implementation, not more information!
A good personal trainer will instantly spot and correct any mistakes you’re making in the habits I mentioned above, plus they will know how to make workouts more enjoyable and relatable to you, your current fitness level, and your weekly time commitments.
The other important point to mention is communication, if/when you start to use a personal trainer make sure there is an open and honest line of communicating what you feel is working and isn’t working, just as you must expect to be held accountable by your trainer, and be honest with what you find hard to stick with (new habits).
It’s important you find a personal trainer you feel comfortable and at ease with, and know you can be open and honest about where you’re at along the journey.
Once we seamlessly link all the parts together your result becomes a matter of when, not if.
